Will You Come With Me? (#637)

Testing the kaitag embroidery technique
From the memories of one of a boat trip with my grandmother’s cousin. One day my cousin and his friend dropped me off on a small rocky island for some plein air painting. They came back later to pick me up with their dinghy boat, both puddling in perfect harmony in the rays of the sunshine, this moment marked me greatly by its poetry.
The sentence is taken from a conversation heard during the same trip. A family member once described his plans of going at sea with his father up to Greenland. He had to announce it to his fiancée, knowing that if she didn’t want to go with him, they probably wouldn’t see each other again anymore.
“And so I said to her, ‘My aim in life is to travel. Do you want come with me?’
And she came with me”.
