Every odd year, hundreds of European sailing boats come to the Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany for a festive parade in a majestic landscape.
The natural pigments of tempera on a brushed, sanded and washed plaster background evoke the surface of old manuscripts and nautical charts. Races of traditional sailboats establish a link between eras, making us feel closer to our seafaring ancestors, to the time when the globe was still to be discovered.
