I was inspired by a meeting with the painter and navigator Yvon le Corre in his workshop in Tréguier, Brittany. This painting represents an old sailor smoking his pipe and looking at the horizon. He himself resembles a rock, swept by the winds, with blue eyes the colour of the sea. The smoke from his pipe turns into clouds
