Many of my relatives and friends in France are part of a beautiful family of seafarers. They are the ones who welcomed me to a new country when I arrived there 8 years ago. Their own example taught me the lesson of inner freedom, responsibility and discipline, mutual aid and respect for life. They made me discover the beauty of the mineral textures of Brittany and Normandy. Therefore, the marine theme is linked for me to the dream of exploring new worlds, where the image of a boat is associated with that of a floating house or cathedral — the boat as gravel of courageous human presence facing the endless universe to explore.
