Last week, it was the turn of Adam’s friends, who barely speak French. The youngest doesn’t even speak Russian. But he smiles in a very childish and joyful way. His older friend, with a chain around his neck, pulls a picture out of his pocket after a pose and asks me to draw his beloved too. I suggest they come together next time and don’t take the picture. I hand out copies of the portraits to my models.
