Last time there was a model with bright blue eyes, brighter than the sky. They look even bluer because he is moved and blushing. The beneficiary-artist that I have already sketched another time, is there, looking at his eyes, envious of their colour. The man I am drawing used to work in the Bois de Vincennes, looking after horses, but he recently lost his job. He got into a tangle with someone there. One day he fell asleep on the grass after work and had his clothes and papers stolen.
Gilles wrote me later that this eye colour is frequent in people of Celtic Breton origin. I will have to ask the model when I meet him
