They were both in their late fifties, very energetic, with smart and irreparably sad eyes. While I was drawing them, they told me that there was a gallery near their home and I should definitely go there and offer them my work. The next time we met, the man handed me a piece of paper with the address and name of the gallery. I can’t find it in my diary. I’m sad because they didn’t like their portraits, the lady in particular, although they were very nice, and I wanted to do something nice for them.
